CoSpace Rescue Challenge

In CoSpace Rescue Challenge, a team has to develop appropriate strategies for both real and virtual autonomous robots to navigate through the real and virtual arenas and collect objects while competing with another robot that is performing the same mission.

CoSpace Rescue Challenge 2013

Competition Setup

  • CoSpace Robot (Rescue) Simulator 2013
  • CoSpace Robot - Standard platform used for RCJ 2013.
  • CoSpace real arena (Building instruction)
  • Workstation/PC/Laptop:
    • CPU: Core 2 DUO 2.2 GHz and above
    • RAM : 4GB
    • Dedicated Graphic Card with at least 1GB RAM.

Or

  • ALL i7 CPU Notebook. 

RoboCup 2012

RoboCup 2012 was held in Mexico City, Mexico from 18 - 24 June 2012. The SuperTeam competition using Augmented Technology was introduced into the CoSpace Rescue Challenge for the first time.

RoboCup 2011

RoboCup 2011 was held in Istanbul, Turkey from 5 - 11 July 2011. Teams from China, Singapore, and Japan participated in the competition.

RoboCup 2010

RoboCup 2010 was held in Suntec City, Singapore from 19 - 25 June 2010. CoSpace Rescue was introduced as a demonstration.  Singapore sent out 21 teams, including 12 teams from special needs schools that participated in the following 3 categories.

  • Fully-Autonomous
  • Adventure Challenge
